Pt England Resort

As I arrived at the Point England Resort, all I could see was heaven because you can get every thing you ever dreamed of. We went in a submarine, we could see sharks, snapper and goldfish. The most exciting thing that my family liked was the snapper. Swimming through the clear water, all you can see is the colourful fish. Every one should come to this Resort because it is amazing..

Fox

Foxes enemies are bears wolfs and mountain lions.
Foxes like eating fruit and rabbits.
All foxes have big ears and sharp teeth most foxes look like dogs.
Baby pups like drinking milk.
Foxes live in there dens in the Forrest.

The Twits

As the Twits were walking inside two ravens were holding paint brushes. On the paint brushes
was sticky glue. Some of the sticky glue fell on to Mr Twit and Mrs Twit

‘’What was that?’’ said Mrs Twit while holding tightly on to their shot guns. ‘’Don’t worry about it’’ said Mr Twit "As soon as we load up the shotguns, we'll be sure to have bird pie for lunch.’’

As soon as the Twits walk inside they saw that every thing was up side down. "We're upside down." said Mrs Twit "I know" said Mr Twit. "Let's turn the right way, let’s stand on our head’’ As they stood on their head the Twits knew that they were shrinking. Their head shrunk into their body, their body shrunk into their legs and their legs shrunk into their toes.

As Doc the mad scientist took off Jennifer felt scared and said “Marty there’s no turning back now boy.” Marty was feeling sorry for Jennifer. ‘’Just hold on a little longer’’ said Doc. Finally they made it to the future ‘’Yay” said Jennifer with a grin on her face. “It is all over’’

Back to the Future

As Doc the mad scientist reversed the car, his wheels screeched. Marty said ‘’Hey Doc,” as he was Adjusting his glasses, “We better back up, we don’t have enough road to get to 88’’. ‘’Roads. Where we’re going we don’t need roads’’. Doc replied. Marty and Jennifer were worried as the car sped off like a rocket.

Our Friends from Wake Forest University

Last Monday nine different student came to our school. They came from the U.S.A. the student how came to our school were learning how N.Z dose thing different to there's and the different
technology. We were all happy when they came and we hope they come again.

Adding Detail to Sentencens

We started doing adding detail to Sentences. We started this so we get better at writing beginnings of sentences and get to write new things. Room13 loves writing and so should you.

My World

In my world it smells like cake. Our beds and pillows are made out of candy floss. The ocean is melted ice cream. I like my world.

Sentence Beginnings

In room13 we are looking at sentence beginnings. Toreka's writing about cross country from last year, helps us to get better at using cool words to begin our sentences. We used Wordle to make a picture of the words she used.

Rube Goldberg

Last Friday room13 made marble runs. They brought all sorts of things Isiah group brought nothing at all Isiah group started out bad but we never gave up so my group made some modifications and then when we had a test the marble was rolling of our track our team work was rubbish but we got there in the end. It was hard but we persevered until the end

Making Straw Bridges

Today room13 were building bridges out of straws. We were working hard to build our bridges. My team were working hard, we never stopped for even one breath.
We were working really hard on our building, me and my friends had no trouble at working together. We learned that triangles are the strongest out of all the shapes

Tornado

Yesterday at 3.00 there was a tornado in Albany on the north shore there were trampolines and cars up side down. Most of the buildings were smash against the ground like rocks. It sounded like a beast. Some cars were sucked in to the tornado and when it landed it wasn’t nice.
The damage was like a room full of rubbish. One person was killed. I thing being in a tornado would be terrifying it looked like rain and clouds mixed together.

Straw Towers

Before morning tea room 13 started building towers made of straw and tape. We did this because it was our topic and so we can learn about Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger. My group had some trouble but we got through it in end.

Some of the trouble we had was my team working together and sharing the materials that we used. The most thing we we had trouble putting all of pieces that we made together my team was coming last but we did’t let that get to us so we rushed and we came second.
