Immersion Assembly

It was a cold and wet day. All of Pt England school had an Immersion Assembly. It all started from Team 1 through to Team 5. They were all about the olympic games. We watched movies and skits but the most interested of all was all of the people from NZ that came first, second and third in the Olympic Games. They all gave 100% because champions never give up

But there was one movie that really inspired me. Jesse Owens was the fastest person in the world. He Isn't anymore because he is too old but in 1936 he won all his races at the olympic Game. His first games was in Germany where the Nazi's were most of the crowd watching him. I think that I am like Jesse Owens!

Gold Island

Captain Black Beard the 2nd is my name. I was the first person to sail the 7 seas until my big brother came. His name was Black Beard the 1st. He had a big ship two times the size of my small boat. He crushed my dreams. But I'm going to return the favour by crushing his dream by going to treasure island first to win all of the gold. But there are myths that no one has came back alive!

People all over the world say that there is a hidden map that shows you how to get there. That's why I am going to find it. I have six crew members. They are, Angry Rocky, Cool Pairs Mohammed, The dork Levi, The Weird One (who is very weird) Nathan and the Bulky One.

Duffy

We enter the hall and there was Duffy. He gave us all a big fright. When the little kid’s saw him they cheered out Duffy.


The story that Duffy read to us was the best book in the world and indeed it was the best
book in the world. Near the middle of the book scruffy jumped out. Wohooo said most of the kids. Scruffy was Duffy’s little brother. Hey Scruffy said Duffy what do you mean you just
saw me a minute ago.They were playing around as normal then there was a mysterious box that they opened from the garage sale.



My favourite part was when Scruffy was angry at a book called The Best Book In The world. Running around trying to get The Best Book In The World, the book got ripped. Silly Scruffy was my favourite character. It is cool to read.
